1.  What are the three parts of a scientific explanation?  Refer to Designing Science Inquiry if you need help.  
2.  Watch the video on the Curiosity Mars Rover, and answer the following questions: 
  • What do these scientists want to know?  What are their scientific questions? 
  • What evidence (data) will the Rover collect?
  • How will this data help scientists answer (make claims about) their questions?
